Relationships (personal and family), lifestyles or just simple words of encouragement, are all ways I have been there for my friends and family throughout the years and it took someone else to say, "You should write a book" and "You should be a motivational speaker" that helped me realize what my purpose in life was. 

I've been in the medical field, transportation, and one of my many passions was hair and makeup, so I became a Cosmetologist and opened up my own salon.  It was a lifelong dream of mine to own my own business and not work for anyone else ever again in my life.  I wanted to prove to my children that just because life throws a few wrenches in your plans, does not mean you can not remove them and make new plans.  Leaving a legacy for my children and teaching that everything is never handed to you, you have to work hard for them. These and many others have been the lessons I continually teach them to this day.

 
You see everything I have done in my life, I took pride in. I was scared to try new things but that was just it.....being scared MADE me do them. I wasn't the best hair stylist in the world, but it brought me happiness when I saw the smile on my clients faces after the left my chair. And that is how I discovered my purpose. It is helping people.......everything I've done in all of my careers, it was always helping people. I never thought of it as "business ", I only thought I was doing my part in helping others through the teachings of which life has afforded me to learn.

I've learned that when God shows you who you are in Him, there is no better place to be. I love that God continued to show me that my purpose was to help people. And I will continue to do just that.
